Material Gain And Spiritual Power

IOS

People pay so much money to spiritualists or spell-casters for spells that end up not materializing. Understandably many now mock and dismiss anyone who may claim, even credibly, to have such powers.

This situation has deprived many of the opportunity(or faith) to meet genuine spell-casters. We examine the life of a genuine spiritual healer, psychic or voodoo practitioner.

A genuine spiritualist with magical powers -

  • has a life purpose of helping people materially and spiritually;

  • does not hanker after servants, cars, palaces and other material enticements;

  • does not delight in material wealth and enticements even when such things are legitimately offered;

  • is charitable with personal wealth and is never attached to it;

  • is happy being in union with the higher-self, like yogis who live and meditate in the Himalayan forest, free from material desires.

Such a genuine spiritualist or yogi possesses some magical powers that can impact the lives of people. Jesus Christ and many past sages, and yogis were genuine spell-casters.

During my research on the power of voodoo masters in Africa i found out there is a decline in the number of genuine voodoo practitioners because of greediness and exploiting of clients.

I have met some genuine voodoo practitioners in Africa who live in hut houses. When I asked why they are poor, they claim they are already rich given that the life purpose of a genuine voodooist is to help people. In return they get simple gifts and gratitude. As one practitioner put it to me "if I become attached and hanker for material gain, accumulation of wealth and luxury, I lose my spiritual power; that is what makes us sacred.The gods don't allow us to take more than required."

Those with genuine spiritual and magical powers do not ask the gods for material wealth for themselves. But they may get such wealth through the people they help. And they try as much as possible not to be attached to it.
